Re: In retrospect... (Should I bail while I still can?)

@demcanulty, I *know* that 150k doesn't go as far as people think, so forgive the hyperbole. But the sooner you publish some in-depth info, the better. I would hope there might be individual MIDI messages to set specific parameters on specific pads without having to send over the whole contents of a...

Re: In retrospect... (Should I bail while I still can?)

Robius, the fact that *some* people are resentful is a result of hype-- hype that is just a lawyer's hair short of what is known as "lies", that by now we should all spot in our sleep -- in elections, in commercials, Russian brides, and in promo "literature". Watch any TV, Robius...

Re: QuNeo Editor Frustration

The Quneo editor works, though it is by today's standards a very primitive "proof of concept" type app. There are many better ways to design such tools, incorporating creature comforts that would save users a great deal of time, error and frustration. For some reason, KMI, which only stand...

Re: Firmware upgrade with Linux?

Hi, Dan,
It would be great if you'd post any scripts here that you can share, like the firmware sysex files were posted. People will probably figure out good uses for the stuff.
Thanks!

Re: Simultaneously using Quneo Editor and DAW

loopMIDI is a better more modern version of **MIDI-Yoke**, not MIDI-ox, Kazakore. It creates Virtual MIDI Ports. It's a driver, and therefore has to be 32 bit and 64 bit capable. MIDI-ox is what allows you to patch ports together, it's a different animal than loopMIDI or MIDI-Yoke. It's also a MIDI ...

Quneo indirect interface

How about using an interface program that the quneo would talk to, and the actual MIDI connection would be to the interface? There are many advantages to such an approach. The major difficulty of writing a custom MIDI driver (to overcome limitations of the default Class Compliant drivers) would be b...

Re: 0.5A 500mV iPad connection kit?!? Seriously?

Are you sure about this 500 mV stuff? Makes no sense. Do you mean that the adapter supplies 5volts but only 0.5 A (500 mA), when the Quneo draws way more than that?

Re: Simultaneously using Quneo Editor and DAW

OK, here is a simple config that allows running the Quneo editor and Cubase at the same time. Download, install and start loopMIDI, create the two ports shown in the screenshot. http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/loopmidi.html Download, install and start MIDIox. Configure as shown, or (since thi...

Re: USB mini

I'm not trying to be contrarian, but yes, I CAN see using it hand-held. I'm working on a piece where an actor/singer would hold the controller (looks great on a darkened stage). Same issue with the QuNexus. Beside, it's called "good design". You don't see a lot of problems with Apple conne...

Re: Windows USB MIDI problem on notebook?

Yes, I've been trying a little $5 hub that comes with a Y cable like that, so it can work passive, passive with a two port Y cable, or powered. On the Y cable it looks like one plug is fully wired (USB and power), the second one just taps power from another USB port. I'm not sure it has solved the p...
