Re: Flakey Quneo

I'm working on it still. I bought a new Quneo and swapped cables. For a while I thought it was totally fixed, but then had some of the same problems again--bank buttons caused red leds to turn on and the Quneo to freeze. Changing presets resets it. Then I tried the new Quneo AND IT HAD THE SAME PROB...

Re: Flakey Quneo

What kind of cable is that? It's not the same as my other mini-USB cables. I'll get a new one and give that a try. I did all I could to wiggle just the port and not the wire, and that's when I got the bad flickering. But I'll try a new cable next.

Re: Flakey Quneo

Tried everything and all point to a bad connection where the cable attaches to the Quneo. I'm pretty sure it's the hardware connection in the unit that's flakey, not the cable itself. I can wiggle it slightly and make the lights flicker in a sick (not healthy) way. And the original problem persists,...

Re: Flakey Quneo

Thanks for the list of actions. I'll try them all and report back, starting with the cable.

Other controllers (all USB): KMI SoftStep (yay!), two NanoKontrols and one NanoKey, a USB expression pedal. Oh, and a Roland stage piano (MIDI only).

I'll attack this tonight.

Re: Flakey Quneo

No, I am not using the Live script. I'm only using CC and note numbers to communicate with Live and my controllers. The condition seems to be getting worse. I press either the rhombus button or the long-slider bank control buttons and the Quneo freaks out--random LED patterns on the pads (always red...

Re: Sneaky preset files

UPDATE: I did some more poking around and I have part of the explanation. The .quneopreset files are NOT from saving presets within the editor, but are created from EXPORTING presets using the file menu in the editor. Apparently I exported in August, and previously, which is why I had lots of .quneo...

Flakey Quneo

I've had Quneo for almost a year, use it extensively in my setup. I use it to trigger patches and effects in Ableton Live. Like it a lot. Lately it's acting up. Usually when I'm changing a bank it refuses to change the bank. Or goes backward (with repeated hits of the the rhombus, for example). Then...

Sneaky preset files

I can't find any of the presets I've saved in the last month. I see in the Quneo folder in Applications (running on a Macbook Pro) all of my older presets--from August and before. But I've made lots of changes, always saving, since then. Can't find the newer files. I just upgraded to 1.2.3 and the f...

Re: SS always unresponsive until unplugged & replugged

UPDATE: Since complaining and implicating SS for flakiness (see my post, above), I've discovered that the increased flakiness was caused by driver and version conflicts for my Saffire Pro40. Or at least I fixed those problems and now the SS seems to be working normally. So from my experience, the SS...

Re: SS always unresponsive until unplugged & replugged

I'm having similar problems. SS was working fine for quite a while, then started getting flakey. As the OP described, it shows it's on with "SET 1" in the window (the scene I created), but doesn't respond. I unplug it, plug it back in, it works. Sometimes. Sometimes it works when I boot up...
