Re: Tap Tempo Unreliable

I have never used tap tempo, but here is how I would approach the issue: 1. Ableton Live itself is a bit erratic 2. Softstep is not registering your taps correctly 3. variable latency in sending the MIDI message For #1, I would eliminate Softstep completely, and just send the tap information from th...

But, unless you are willing to pay for this license, this is not a good option. I find it incredibly usefu...

I just found Peter Ostry's chart in the Max forum. It fully answers my questions here. Thanks!

Re: table?

Old post, I know, but being a newbie, I am trying to read them all :) Just for anyone else wondering: It is not "experimental" but "exponential". Exponential works about the opposite of Logarithmic - while logarithmic rises fast and then levels of slowly, exponential is slow to r...

Newbie introduction and question

Hi, folks! Brand new purchase of SoftStep (finally decided to take the plunge!). I play an Akai EWI (both the 4000s as well as the USB version), and had been using the FCB1010. This is a lot more portable than the FCB, and has interesting functionality beyond the capabilities of the FCB. I am going ...
