Re: CV noise?

You don't need high speed for MIDI, this should work: https://www.amazon.com/SMAKN-Isolator-D ... B00XXPO4UG

Re: CV noise?

Did you see this post? A USB isolator removes the noise. And similar to Danimal's solution, if people don't want to be running computers without ground they can get a USB isolator, which is basically just a ground lift for a USB signal. Put it between the computer and QuNexus and the noise goes away.

Re: BopPad as footcontroller. Four Y.Y.Z quadrants

The BopPad does not give X, Y, and Z data in the way that you are trying to describe. You get data from pressure (Z) and radius (a combination of X and Y that calculates distance from center). So you can control 2 CCs from each quadrant. You can do this with the factory 'sticks' or 'hands' preset.

Re: Updated jk.softstep abstractions

In this particular need I understood that standard editor was not the right tool. Well of course not, because you want information from Live to control the LEDs. That doesn't mean you can't configure the SS in the Editor though. Just because you need to go outside of the Editor the the external LED...

Re: Side to side radius?

The radius is the distance from the center, and does not take into account whether you are going up and down (Y axis) or left to right (X axis). You are not constrained to the Y axis, you are constrained to radius. We have no current plans to add X/Y axis sources into the firmware, but I can certain...

Re: Updated jk.softstep abstractions

I can't use advanced editor because I needed to receive messages from ableton looper to set ss leds. Not sure what this means exactly - you can send the SS MIDI messages to set the the LEDS if you use the Advanced Editor. Be it Standalone or Hosted. That doesn't affect the way the SS interprets inc...

Re: Assigning different CC parameters on a single pad in Ableton Live

If you're on Mac you can use the 'Solo' button to make the BopPad only send one data source at a time.
If on Windows, due to their MIDI implementation, its a bit more tedious.

Re: SPDSX roland + Bop pad

Not sure how a user table would help here? A user table is a translation table that allows you to define a non linear relationship. I'm sure it's not random. The CC message is still being sent, but not being recognized, or not making the desired change in the hardware. You'll need to figure out why ...

Re: SPDSX roland + Bop pad

Not sure what you mean by "make the system more stable". I don't have your particular hardware to test with, so you'll need to be pretty specific about the issues you are experiencing.

Re: SPDSX roland + Bop pad

How are you trying to control the Roland? Right now you have the CC set up to respond to velocity, which doesn't seem like the best choice for controlling FX. You should probably look at one of the continuous sources. Pressure, radius, etc.
