Re: MIDI Expander: Bluetooth LE edition

In a similar vein, I bought a Yamaha UD BT01 to try and accomplish this. Unfortuantely, it seems to only see the first MIDI port, and so it seems to be sensing to SSCOM port use for communication with editor/to the softstep, and so is not recieving the MIDI output. If there was some way to get these...

MIDI Expander: Bluetooth LE edition

I think a brilliant accessory would be a MIDI expander with a built in powerbank and bluetooth functionality. Basically it's the same as the current MIDI expander, but with a built in rechargeable battery (via USB), and MIDI over bluetooth (recently implemented in iOS and OSX). This would turn the S...

Re: Bug in Standalone mode: Output not passed to LED/Displa

Update: I've tested this on both the SoftStep 1 and SoftStep 2, in the off chance that the issue is specific to the SoftStep 1. It isn't.

Re: Bug in Standalone mode: Output not passed to LED/Displa

Upon further testing, this is indeed a bug. My prior post is accurate, that intial/return only works in hosted mode. However, Immed Param works in standalone mode. The quickest test that this is indeed the case is to fire up the Program Change preset that comes with the editor. Immed Param transmits...

Re: Bug in Standalone mode: Output not passed to LED/Displa

Just realised Initial/Return only work in Hosted mode. So not a bug, I suppose you could chalk it down to user error. However, this means only the key can can be displayed, so using it to bank through program changes is oddly impractical in standalone mode. Perhaps I am mistaken, but I seem to recal...

Re: Bug in Standalone mode: Output not passed to LED/Displa

Has anyone been able to replicate this? Is it user error? Should we expect a fix?

Bug in Standalone mode: Output not passed to LED/Display

Hi, I seem to have found a bug in the editor in Standalone mode. Quick rundown: I'm trying to use Nav Yx10 & Key to send a Program change message to the two output ports. At the same time, I want to display the changes as PG1 - PG128 on the display. To do so, I grab the output of modline 1, offs...

Re: Softstep 2 upgrade program is now happening.

I just put my order in today. The upgrade program is exceedingly generous. As one of the people who have been vocal about the shortcomings of the SS1, the new editor and the upgrade program go a long, long way to restoring my confidence. Special thanks to TheSupport@KMI and the Sales Manager for get...

Stayin' alive.. 6 weeks and counting.

I hope the higher-ups weren't just paying lip service and hoping people would forget the whole thing.
