Re: Can I play more then ten notes on a softstep?

Hi Suzane, You can play more than 10 notes on a SoftStep, though you have to make new scenes to do it. Then, you'll be able to move between sets of notes by pushing the nav pad. The 12Step is obviously a better choice for playing notes, as it is set up like a keyboard and can easily change octaves.....

Re: Downloading to standalone not working! Please help

Hi,
Thanks for letting us know about your 3 times downloading problem.
We'll test it in office and see if we can reproduce it. Once we see it, we can figure out what's up.

For now, the firmware changes seem to work o.k.?

Re: standalone inconsistency

Hi, Can you provide a bit more information and possibly a screen capture of you mod line on key 1? I'd suggest trying to re-toggle the parameter destination-- just flip it to a different type of message and back to the kind you want. That may help, and pending more info, we can help figure this out....

Re: Using more than one function per pad

Hi, I usually use 4 functions per key in standalone mode. Often, I use foot on and off to turn on and off fx, and x and y (or pressure) to mess with parameters. In my experience, it's best to couple things that won't be conflicting movements-- for example X and Y work together, but y and pressure ar...

Re: Using softstep and nanokontrol simultaneously on a macbo

Hi,
When you start up the editor, you should see a 1.21 at the bottom right hand of the screen. If so, you've got the newest version, otherwise, check our downloads page!

Thanks,
Matt

Re: Using softstep and nanokontrol simultaneously on a macbo

Hi, We had some issues with overlapping CCs between the NanoKontrol and the SoftStep but we addressed it in a recent version of the software-- make sure you're running the most recent version (1.21). You can get it on our downloads page... Otherwise, try switching your SoftStep to a different midi c...

Re: switch on/off Ableton effects

Hi, I usually use "Foot On" and Note Set in standalone mode. I'll also put a "Foot Off" and set the same note, so that the effect turns off when I'm not on the keypad. I prefer standalone mode, it's less resource demanding and more consistent in my opinion. It seems as if you're ...

Re: Tempo LED

Hi,
Using the above CCs, it's fairly easy to have a tempo LED sync to a DAW. I've done it in Live, and am working on a video to show how... It should be mentioned that you need to send values from 1-4 (for the various LED states) to those CCs...

Thanks,
Matt
