Re: Detailed specs for inputs & avoid clipping with instrument (hi-z) signals

Thanks for the quick reply! We recommend using inputs 3 - 8 for signals that are too hot for preamps on inputs 1-2. The manual recommends the opposite for instrument signals.... Inputs 1-2 will clip sooner as they apply more gain than inputs 3-8. This is logic if all is passed through a pre-amp to g...

Re: effects (FX) AUX send + AUX return in same channel

OK, I understand.

Playing with Pre / Post S ends fader settings for aux helps a bit to get the desired effect.

Great that this can be toggles from hardware itself.

Regards.

Detailed specs for inputs & avoid clipping with instrument (hi-z) signals

Hello, I connected an e-bass guitar to the input 1 of KMI. For output, I used 2 quality nearfield active monitor speakers (7"). Then, I observed some clipping and distortion. I checked with the Kmix specs. The actual values for the inputs are not included in the K-Mix Technical Specifications h...

effects (FX) AUX send + AUX return in same channel

Dear KMI Team, I would like to perform the following routing: CHANNEL INPUT [1] --> AUX Send --> outboard FX --> AUX Return --> Master CHANNEL INPUT [1] --> --> Master An example would be the return rotary in the AUX section of the following mixer: https://media.musictri.be/media/PLM/data/images/pro...

Re: K-Mix with Linux

Although there are a few vocal supporters of Linux, there isn't enough demand for us to dedicate resources (both immediately and moving forward) to complete Linux support. Would you support a community based effort to port or build a editor on Linux? With support I mean provide some hardware inform...

Re: K-Mix with Linux

1) When in interface mode, only channel 1-4 were converting signals from the computer to audio, channels 5-8 remained silent Solved through booting into the Windows OS and adjusting pre/post settings in USB tab. @ TheOtherSupport@KMI Would it be possible to issue a version of the editor that works ...

Re: K-Mix with Linux

Were you able to get audio from all eight input channels at once on Linux? I haven't tried, yet. Will do this latest tomorrow. So far I only check output. If not, the unit goes back to the store. Let me guess that the best advice moving forward would be make a K-Mix unit available for the Linux dev...

K-Mix with Linux

Hello KMI-Team, since July I had a K-Mix here for testing from musicstore.de I liked it a lot for its small form factor, robustness and functionality packed in the unit. The unit was detected by the operating system without issues. I encountered the following issues: 1) When in interface mode, only ...

Pairing of 2 mono channels?

Hello KMI team, is there a possibility to pair 2 mono channels together? Use case: I would connect a CD-player using a RCA/Cinch to TRS adapter cable and the 2 TRS cable to 2 of the K-Mix inputs, say channel 1 and channel 2. Now, I would like to operate the faders simultaneously meaning that when I ...
