softstep 2 and trade in/discount for SS1 users

Thought to open a new topic in regard to possible trade in/discounts for SS1 users towards SS2. So far this has been buried in the new editor thread. Here's a bit from that thread from TheSupport@KMI: http://forum.keithmcmillen.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2307&start=30#p8307 That's all folks......

Re: new editor is here

Thesupport@KMI, Not asking for promises on anything: What will the new software do to improve/upgrade the Softstep 1 ? (You yourself have said that the SS1 needed much improvement in past posts, yes?) Will you consider trade-ins of the original on the new improved SS 2? I see the original still being...

I'm not as concerned about the thread as the update!

Re: Need simple reliable softstep Ableton setup

A HAPPY ENDING !! Glad that worked out for you. Good , kind folks at KMI. When my first Softstep had backlight problems, Matt at KMI personally delivered a replacement to my door. I'm across the bridge in Marin County. Yo Carson, Maybe we should set up a live online seminar for those at a distance (...

Maybe just drop in at KMI.
They are in Berkeley Ca. as well. 2325 4th Street. (877) 812-0408
It might do them some good to actually see a Softstep end user !
Worth a try at least. Let us know how you fare.

Re: Faulty Backlight

On the other hand, Considering some folks have difficulty getting the Softstep to remember (depending on OS # I think)that they want the backlight off at all times , if you play guitar or bass your issue posted here may be a plus! Maybe if you could figure out how you managed to break the backlight ...
