Yes. You can send from any source.

I don't know the 12 Step. Just try it, take a good MIDI monitor program and see what it says.

Re: how to calibrate the raw sensors?

... sort of absolute calibration, that involved one of those adjustable G-clamp type automobile valve-spring compressors ... Oh My God. :-) Or maybe Keith can integrate 44 tiny letter scales into the Softstep? Better use a real pedal for the real continuous stuff. 2 mm plastic squeezed to 1 mm isn'...

Re: how to calibrate the raw sensors?

I gave up manual calibration and made a "learn" function in Max instead. Basically with the [maximum] and [scale] objects. I switch calibration on and step on all corners. This sets the scale factors for each corner in my input section and I get always 0-127. On stage I calibrate always be...

Not here. The patch before worked also.

I cannot imagine how the patch should lose the connection on it's own. Each mouse click sends three messages, that's it. My MIDI monitor shows clean data.

Re: SoftStep MIDI Chart

There was an error in the LED description:
Turning green on and then red does not give yellow.
You rather switch between green and red.

The text got fixed, new version is online (1.1)

Re: Setting the LED to steady yellow?

BTW, where can we find the whole Softstep midi implementation chart ? There is no official MIDI chart available. I made a chart today, look at this post: http://forum.keithmcmillen.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=530&p=2093#p2093 AND, is it possible to send a scene change (standalone) ? Thanks. An...

Re: LED messages leaking to other LED

Finally we got a "go" from KMI support and the firmware developer: "The dummy messages should be safe to use. You're not going to do anything bad by sending those 0's. They're not doing anything special." Therefore my suggested solution to avoid leaking of a LED message to the ne...

Re: LED messages leaking to other LED

I actually know without looking what my primary synth does with this input - it goes to Trumpet. Interesting, have never had such a device. All I know (not many ...) need CC 0 (xx) and then CC 32 xx to set the program. I am afraid there is no other number to suggest. I assumed CC 0 would be pretty ...

Re: LED messages leaking to other LED

C'mon guys, beeing scared about "long" messages ... You send a lot more than 12 CCs all the time :-) I'm a little nervous sending out CC 0, because that's "bank select" - if this managed to "get out" and get sent to a hardware synth, it would likely change what sound it...
