Re: dedicated support, appropriate and respectful of users

MY softstep broke at a gig last night, the mini-usb connector internally came away from the circuit board

Not good, not good at all.

Re: Export Patch function?

As the .Json file is in text format, I guess there is no reason why we couldn't post a file containing just the particular scene 'cut'. This is a messy option as it relies on the end user’s ability to cut and (more importantly) paste the data into the right place.
Just a thought

MaxMSP has stopped working

Hi,
Does any one know why when running Editor in Windows Vista I get the error ‘MaxMSP has stopped working’ when I click on the red button to close the program?
This doesn’t happen if I close the Editor using either CRTL-Q or ALT-F-X.

Editor not saving the .JSON files

Thought I'd pass this one on.... I had problems with the Editor not saving the .json file in standalone mode using Windows Vista (not sure about hosted mode, I didn’t try it). Having programmed the SS and got it working with my amp, I was a little bemused that on my return the SS had remembered the ...

the Editor reading from the Softstep on start up

Hi, I'd like to see a function that allows the user to upload all the Standalone settings from the Softstep on Editor start-up. I've just re-programmed my device three times because the editor wouldn't save the standalone.json file. (Anyway I post again tomorrow regarding the fun and games I've had ...

Is a decade really 10 or can it be 5?

For my live set-up I either gig with a digital modelling guitar amp or a valve amp with TC Electronics effects unit in the loop. In both situations I use the SS to recall the various presets, so it’s a very simple set up and thanks to the 1.21Beta the Peavey Vypr amp and the SS and now talking. Howe...

Re: SoftStep Setup Adjustments- Global Gain

My I add that the flooring you use the SoftStep on will make a difference as well.
At home setting up the SS I'm on carpeted floor but in a live situation the staging will be hard.
The soft carpet does make a difference to the feel.

Re: SS MIDI Expander strangeness

I'm not sure if I'm having this problem or not. I'm a complete newbie but want to resist the temptation to shout out “I don’t know what I’m doing, someone help me”. Anyway, I have several guitar rigs and at some point want to be able to set up the SoftStep to operate each one (not simultaneously). T...
