Re: An example using Softstep with only standard Max objects

Just discovered an annoying quirk with this.

When using my MIDI keyboard with my max patch, and not having the softstep plugged in, the midiin inside the jk.stepcore is using the sustain pedal data as button press data CC64.

Is there a way to not have this happen?

The way I'm building it you'd be able to run it just fine using ONLY the softstep, which is nice, and wasn't a planned thing. I'll post it in the general section when it's done. If you want to have a dabble here is the latest version: http://www.rodrigoconstanzo.com/temp/party04.zip It doesn't have ...

Re: An example using Softstep with only standard Max objects

I'm using a tweaked version of the patch in the original post, using a jk.stepcore and 10 jk.softsteps.

Is it possible to send the messages in the js without running it in js? To tether and untether it?

Re: Fancy Softstep driver is ready! I think...

The 'reminder' row is tapin/tapout based for the 0-7.5minute stuff. in the most recent version (not yet released) the 10minute button is a separate buffer that records the last 10minutes of audio, and stores analysis points for it, and you can then do real-time grain replacement based on incoming au...

Re: An example using Softstep with only standard Max objects

I'm using a generic midi cable that works/plays fine with my monome stuff. I never (that I can tell) lose power connection as the 4character display stays as what it was. If I unplug and replug it goes to scrolling "SOFT STEP". I can try a different cable into the only other USB port on my...

Re: An example using Softstep with only standard Max objects

I need to try to narrow down what's happening since I'm talking a matter of minutes and I have nothing. I've not used it in a performance setting yet, but last night while programming for it, it lost connection on me twice within an hour. Is there a way to 'bang' it back into connection? I tried ban...

Re: An example using Softstep with only standard Max objects

Anyone having the softstep lose communication when using this? I've just been building my setup but it seems that after 10-15minutes or so (or it might be when something specific happens, I haven't narrowed it down), I lose connection. No messages coming in or out.

Into a gigantic 'all-in-one' patch:

http://www.rodrigoconstanzo.com/the-party-van/

It's not even halfway done either. The upside is that I only plan on using this one max patch, for anything I do.

Re: Fancy Softstep driver is ready! I think...

Interesting. Gonna take a look. Erm, getting a 404 on the download link. I'm a pure max guy as I'm not good at straight line code (though from learning some for Arduino stuff I find it difficult handling something like a state machine in max, so I hear where you're coming from). My main max patch is...

Re: Fancy Softstep driver is ready! I think...

So this replaces the cooking thing? Is it another version of the jk type thing? (ie using midi messages directly).

What else does it do?
