Re: Automating LEDs using Ableton

Wow... maybe it's my processor then. I figured out a way around my problem. If I use different MIDI channels per fader, then the problem goes away. However, I'm only limited to 4 faders because Quneo only "hears" 4 separate MIDI channels from Ableton on the preset I'm running. (Ableton Dru...

Re: Automating LEDs using Ableton

Live doesn't get choppy, the Quneo LED faders get choppy if I use more than 2. Have you created 1 midi track per control? I've tried separating the midi tracks as well... it doesn't make a different. Can't you just create 1 midi track to rule them all? (and in the darkness bind them?) Demian PS: Sor...

Re: Automating LEDs using Ableton

Thank you... you did solve my problem on your first post. There is another problem though... When I automate one fader (cc1), everything is smooth. When I add a second automated fader (cc2), things start to feel choppy... but still usable. If I add a third automated fader on "cc3", everyth...

Re: Automating LEDs using Ableton

Thank you for your reply. I don't think I was clear enough in my first post. I am aware about the envelope automation within the clip. I've already tried what you suggested but there is a "disconnect" in the MIDI information that is sent to the Quneo from Ableton when I attempted this with...

Automating LEDs using Ableton

I'm trying to make Ableton talk to the lights in my Quneo. I've figured almost everything out but one thing. Anyone have any suggestions in how to automate a fader in Quneo using Ableton's "clip" mode. I know how to do it in the timeline mode but I can't figure it out in clip mode where th...

Re: Midi Problems with Ableton Live

Wow... I finally figured it out. Things get weird if you are using any channel apart from Channel 6 for the drum pads on Ableton. It has to be MIDI Channel 6. Ok... back to the music.

Re: In retrospect... (Should I bail while I still can?)

I had to take a crash course on MIDI. Spent two days with it. Still trying to figure it out. But... I was able to do this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmCU7svjXg4

It's worth it.

Re: how loud is your QuNeo?

I did this whole entire project using the Quneo LEDs and ran into the same problem. I would turn off the music to build the visuals and that annoying high pitch LED sound was always present.

Here is my Quneo light show...

Re: Midi Problems with Ableton Live

Ok... I'm honing in on the problem. I've realized that under the notes that come with the preset for Ableton drum pads, there are no problems. They all play just fine without weirdness. The weirdness begins happening when I assign the low notes like E0 and G#0 and others. I've tried setting the pads...
