Invert control ? Can't figure it out.

I'd like to invert the output of a cc. Im using the Y nav pad to run through scenes in Ableton LIve and I'd like north to go up (previous scene) and south to go down (next scene), and not the contrary as it does now. I tried a gain of -1 and offset at 127 (like described in the manual) with no succe...

Re: How do you travel with it? Fragility, etc

Actually when you take off the black plastic protection (the one that covers the display screen) you can reach the motherboard and I could see exactly that it's just unsoldered. So I guess - again I'm not a specialist - that it should be easily repairable by KMI or someone who can sold tiny componen...

Re: How do you travel with it? Fragility, etc

OK, so what broke/unsoldered is the female jack on the SS. I live in France so I doubt sending it to KMI for repair is a viable solution, on an financial point of view :-) It should be easy for someone who's got soldering skills, as I don't feel capable of re-solding a female USB jack on a motherboa...

Re: How do you travel with it? Fragility, etc

After a concert, somebody stepped on my SS, just where the USB cable is attached, and, of course broke it, unsoldering the USB plug. Had to buy another unit. Have to find someone who can fix this, with the right soldering tools…

Re: Ableton Live not receiving midi info in standalone mode

Been using the SS for more than a year now exclusively with Ableton Live and had no such issues. Double-check your connections, ports etc. Not saying you didn't do it already, but, you know how it is :-)

Re: Softstep and Electrix Repeater

Drives me nostalgic… I sold mine a year ago. It was a great machine but far too unstable on stage (and noisy). To come back to your question, it should not be a problem if you read their very precise midi table at the end of the manual. And send the correct midi messages. I used a Rolls MidiWizzard ...

Re: 0-based Program Changing

Excellent trick, for sure.
I'll probably use it while controlling my Eventide Time Factor.

Re: 1.2 Software Release?

Very interesting, ChrisLavender.
I think you people at KMI should really read these comments and take them into consideration.
Your software is sometimes discouraging even the best intentioned users.

Re: 1.2 Software Release?

+1 Also when people say : yeah, I bought one but it's so complicated that I still don't use it. I mean working pro musicians. I'd like to be able to tell them : you're wrong, it opens in a second and it's so simple to program ! You know the answer… Again, don't get me wrong : we want Softstep to get...
