Re: Short press / Long press

Your solution = Bome Midi Translator
Once again, forget about fine tuning led feedback using the Editor, it's very basic and doesn't know if a button is pressed or not. Only solution is rules, counters, timers and variables in BMT.

Thanks I'll take a look. Though Midi Yoke is a no go, as I'm on Mac.

Re: Very Basic LED Request

There is no way with the editor to make the Softstep understand "press 1" and "press 2". This requires variables and/or counters. You can achieve that with BMT (Bome Midi Translator). Then you can have your led turn red on first press and green on the second, and etc. Whatever yo...

Re: How send two different values, in toggle. help please!

Think of BMT as a filter between your Softstep and Live. Each time you send a midi message, you can choose or not to use BMT to transform it for your needs. You can also ask BMT to send messages to the Sofstep itself, typically to control the leds and/or display. For instance your input can be a not...

Re: How send two different values, in toggle. help please!

It would be interesting to get some advice from KMI about Bome Midi Translator... Search a bit in the forums, it's been confirmed many times by the support. BMT is a winner, perfect to fill the SS Editor's gaps. BTW I have no acquaintance at all with BMT, I'm just a user of the software. Meanwhile,...

Re: How send two different values, in toggle. help please!

Yeah, but if you press a second time, it's always the first modline that wins ! The Softstep editor can't work with variables that change their value depending on how many times you pressed. You definitely need BMT to buid a serie of "translators" with rules. I use it extensively and it wo...

Re: Tap tempo for Eventide H9

Have you tried with gain at 127 ? Otherwise, you could try this to mimic a momentary switch : Modline 1 : Source= foot on Gain=127 Offset=0 table=Linear Min=0 Max=127 Message Type = cc CC#=18 Channel=1 Modline 2: Source=Modline 1 Output Gain=127 Offset=0 Table=Toggle Min=0 Max=127 Message Type = Non...

Re: Led Selection> how to toggle correctly

Thanks. As of now I'm happy with my BMT project. It's crazy how I always find a way to achieve what I have in mind in terms of getting the most of ONE pad (like dble trigs, single with 2,3 or even 4 presses, all together and with led feedback). Working with timers, counters and variables allows almo...

Re: Foot On Toggles Note, Other Key Pressed Toggles Note Off

Did you ever find a better way of doing this.? I've been trying to do exactly the same thing I.e. Play a chord by pressing on one pad, but not having to keep my foot on it for the chord to continue to play, but then when I press on another pad, the first chord should stop playing and the new chord ...
