Re: Softstep and Axe fx ultra help

Did you load the --- Softstep specific Axe Fx sysex patch--- in your Axe Fx ? I don't see that in the list of things you said you did.( no dis, just maybe you missed that?) It won't work "automatically" without it. The Softstep AXE "scene" will only work properly with that one Ax...

Re: Scroller demo for Javascript/Max For Live.

Tom, Off topic but from this thread: Dead USB connector at seven months of use(guessing from your forum join date), or have you had it longer? Serial # ? I'm not trolling, I bought a Softstep at the onset but am leaving it in the drawer for a while yet. They replaced my first one gratis, ( actually ...

I'm going to repost this here. Seems appropriate: Have you contacted KMI Support directly and received no reply? Here: support@keithmcmillen.com They have made it clear that this forum exchange is for "users" to exchange info only, with an occasional response from KMI techs. See: viewtopic...

Re: How do you travel with it? Fragility, etc

Hey, "the RealO", Wassamatta, can't come up with your own name? Want to own up to who you really are,or would that expose something .... ? I will say, the timing of your "joining" the forum is a bit suspect and maybe even too obvious. I'm not going to argue your histrionic( a bit...

Re: How do you travel with it? Fragility, etc

Mocker, Sorry to hear about your dilemma, but thanks for sharing this info. It should make everyone wary of this area of "fragility" and take precautions in order to best prevent this occurring to them. You then did, indeed, buy another Softstep? From a dealer in Europe or was it shipped f...

Re: How do you travel with it? Fragility, etc

Mocker, When you said: "had to buy another unit", I'm hoping you meant the cable and not the Softstep itself.( I don't think I'd "buy" another Softstep if that's what actually broke!I'd guess KMI would have the soldering capabilities in that case.) Where exactly did it "brea...

possible to chain two Softsteps?

Has it become possible to chain two Softsteps in standalone thru midi expander?

At one point Keith said that was a no go but that he might work on it.

Thanks, O

Re: expression pedal via pads

Hey all, This topic got my attention but, are these two responses not contradictory? This from Dirk: Just put a modline in each pad preset with pedal and the CC you want, all pads and pedals can be different. It makes for a very powerful setup. I use an EV-5 also and it works wonderfully. Dirk and t...
