Hi Chuck.
I have experienced flawless results using SoftStep (in Standalone mode) simultaneously with Ableton Live and APC40+Launchpad+Trigger Finger+Kore Controller+Akai LPK, so I wouldn't worry about it interfering with any other midi controllers.

In Hoted mode, the SoftStep application does the data formatting and converting. When using the SoftStep in Standalone mode without the application, all data conversion is done from the SoftStep internally. Hi Geert, This is the main reason we built the Standalone functionality into the SoftStep editing software. Hosted mode is great for building and testing presets. Once your presets are completed, downloading them to the SoftStep and using Standalone mode will eliminate all system memory the SoftStep...

Hi Geert. To download scenes to your SoftStep in Standalone mode, you need to select them in your setlist. If you dont have any scenes selected in your standalone setlist, nothing will download.
