Re: Making program change 0 a 10 instead, 0 a 20, etc.

There usually is a way to get what you want out of SoftStep. The Modline is almost like "programming" and you need to be sneaky and bit non-linear to figure out the approach for certain needs. We hope to include more of these use cases both in supplied Scenes and in tips and tricks. It is ...

Re: Keystrokes ?

Hi, I have been thinking about how to do this for iPad and see a problem if the app you use does not accept MIDI. For Mac and Win OS these 3rd party applications act as the interface between MIDI and the OS. SoftStep shows up as a class compliant MIDI device which is why we can talk to iPad MIDI app...

Re: "Export Selected Presets" function

Thanks for the kind words and support. I make all these things because I need them to play music. So I am always glad to get feedback from other musicians. I have been looping since 1975 (two Sony Tape decks) and believe it is a great example of technology influencing art. I expect to see many more ...

Re: Making program change 0 a 10 instead, 0 a 20, etc.

Yet another reason I hate MIDI. Program change is defined as going from 0 to 127. For us to comply we go from 0 - 127. You could add an offset in the Modline to add 1 and I believe you would get what you are after.

Re: Standalone Time Frame for Windows????

I believe it is safe to go back in the water.

We have now quite a few upgrades to final 1.1 from both Mac and Win and everything looks good. Please share your experiences and let us know what we can improve.

Re: "Export Selected Presets" function

Hi, SoftStep presets are several layers deep for each each and different for Hosted vs. Standalone. It is effectively a "bundle" with numerous components. We are actively working on a Scene Librarian. I have attached a rough functional image of what we intend for this app to accomplish. Th...
