did KMI know about the buzzing noise..

I started a thread a long time ago about how when the LEDs are on, and I have my guitar plugged in, there is a loud buzzing noise. Initially KMI thought it was a ground loop issue, but then it turns out it has something to do with the LED technology and there is no way around it.. (except if you plu...

Re: Humming noise

wow. well what is interesting for me is that my macbook only has two usb ports and both don't render the same noise when I used them. I even tried purchasing a USB extension (with four additional components) and I still got the same noise. You are lucky son of a gone. what kind of computer do you ha...

Re: Humming noise

I'm still investigating. A friend of mind (who is an electrician) says he might be able to build me a tiny (cheap $5) tool. Just wanted to find out out if anyone has any other solutions.

Re: SoftStep locks up after awhile

I've been having this issue a lot lately (i.e. hook everything up, open the editor and the editor doesn't detect any pressure or touch from the softstep).. sometimes I have to unplug, re plug in, quit, un plug, re plug over and over again to get the issue to go away.

Anyone figure this bug out?

Treat softstep like launchpad?

I was wondering if it is possible to create a scene on the softstep that would let me scroll through clips in ableton, and the softstep LED's would reflect which clips are already playing, and which aren't, and then being able to fire them as I cycle through softstep. example: setup top row pads and...

Re: buzzing noise

check out the thread I started. http://forum.keithmcmillen.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=53 I started wondering if since I have a macbook, and that my softstep and my interface run through usb (interface is powered by external), if this is causing. I think my interface can be bus powered if I use fir...

Re: Parameter Destination number to 0 after saving

Thanks Carson!

I will give it a shot. I thought I tried it, but wasn't sure if it was working correctly.

Once I place the 127 in the initial value field, and change the option to always, I should switch scenes and go back and the parameter destination field should show 127?

Thanks again!

Re: Parameter Destination number to 0 after saving

pretty much what is happening is that I have three modlines creating a scenario that will trigger recording a clip, stop/play the clip, move down to the next empty slot. I get it to work, but if I close softstep or change scenes on the SS and then go back, the process works differently. (i.e. the lo...

Parameter Destination number to 0 after saving

I have a nice modline combo going on one of my scenes for ableton.

However, whenever I save it, one of the modline's parameter destination value drops back to 0. Is there any way to keep it so when I open up or start everytime, the value is 127. I need the min to be 0 and max to be 127.

Thanks
