Re: Softstep Editor always Crashes at exit?!

Thx, I'll check out those links ;-) But about the causes you suggested, you might be right but it could also just be a bug in the software too. Even if you don't have the problem, that doesn't exclude a problem with the software itself. It could be buggy only in a specific software/hardware environm...

Re: Softstep Editor always Crashes at exit?!

Dirk, Have you done the usual audio system optimization? I wasn't aware there were any? I thought those tweaks only applied to XP. Are there tweaks recommended for W7 as well? Can you point me to a website/forum where I can pick those up and try again? Although, in all honesty, it doesn't sound like...

Re: Humming noise

Wasi, when I turn off the backlight, yes the hum goes away. The fact that it doesn't happen on my desktop, is in my opinion related to the fact that on my desktop I'm not using a USB soundcard. I don't feel like going thru all 10 pages of posts to find out but it would be interesting to see if all u...

Re: Humming noise

Sorry for the late reply but for a while my posts weren't getting through for some strange reason?? Otis, I'll get back to you later on your question. My setup is all disconnect right now. As soon as it's up and running again, I'll post back to let you know. However, I'm leaving on holiday 'til June...

Re: Humming noise

(first a quick reply to Pinkline, then an update to my initial post...) Pinkline...wow! Those are strong statements and when said so well, I can only agree but I'm going to hold on to mine a bit longer. I've become used to resignation when it comes to flaws in products but sometimes the flaws are be...

Re: Humming noise

Hi, I'm a new user and I think I can bring some interesting info about this problem. I can't believe this will be a solution to all of you but I suggest anybody reading this give it a try. I'm a guitarist as well BTW. When I first plugged in my SS in my Vaio Laptop, no hum/buzz problems. I hadn't ev...

NAV Pad + LED Display in the wrong place!?

(This is a feature request for a future hardware version of this unit): I understand the appeal of having such a small controller but...it's still needs to be controllable!? Having the LEDs so close to the NAV Pad makes it impossible to view the changes when incrementing thru scenes for ex. My foot ...

Better manual or more video Tutorials

I realize this is a very complex device capable of doing a lot so it must be complicated to make a manual easy to understand to the novice user but more effort should be put in despite that because there are lots paragraphs I have re-read 10 times and I still can't understand what is being said?! I ...

Softstep Editor always Crashes at exit?!

Hi, First off, hi everybody! This is my first post and I'm only just slooowly getting familiar with the extreme complexity of this device. I'm just wondering if anybody else has experienced an almost consistent crash of the Softstep Editor when closing the program? In use it all seems to be ok, but ...
