"Short Trig" source triggered only by a short time pressure

Example Short press on pad n°1 it sends out midi CC 1 Long press (one sec) on pad n°1 it sends out midi CC11 But it is not worki...

Re: Nav Keys Programmable

It turns out you are correct, i had missed this information. Tip: In Standalone mode there is a way to turn off scene changing and instead just get pressure data from each corner. In the settings window you can tun Scene Changing on or off. Set this to off and you will get pressure coming in on CC #...

Re: Nav Keys Programmable

Yeah that's pretty much what made the softstep unusable for me in standalone...
With the mid nav pads, i would have been able to use bome midi translator to recreate the scene function as an alternative to the not so reliable and memory hungry editor.

Re: Humming noise

- i agree the product should never have been released that way or at least with a specific warning about not being able to use the lighting with electric guitars (unless you put a grounded jack in your sock to ground your body -thus successively fixing the issue- i guess, in KMI world). - i agree ab...

Re: Humming noise

As far as public relations can go, KeithMcMillen admitted the problem himself a long time ago on page 7 of this thread. http://forum.keithmcmillen.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=53&start=60 More recently, support admitted the problem in this thread : http://forum.keithmcmillen.com/viewtopic.php?f=...

Re: Device/Route modline settings will not save

I have the same problem here in a similar setup, the editor loads with softstep expander as default under device/route. But my workaround is that when the editor is opened, i then move up and down my scenes two or three times by foot with the navpad and it finally changes itself back to what i had s...

Re: SoftStep application using 1GB of memory

From the FAQ on the KMi site (it worked for me, the trick is to save the settings) Can I turn off the EL lights? Yes, you can. Open the Settings window by clicking the "open settings" button (located toward the top-right of the SoftStep Editor's main window) and turn off the "EL ON/OF...

Re: SoftStep application using 1GB of memory

It's essential to update to last firmware and editor version...
In Windows7, Load up time seems to have improved (50 secs here), Ram usage is now approx. 643660k, and overall stability is better.

Re: 2 way communication w/ softstep

It works in standalone using the midi CC numbers mentionned in another thread. Could not get this to work in hosted because the software could not speak to the softstep directly but only to the softstep editor software... but i guess this was before i installed the last update, maybe i should try ag...
