External Expression Pedal control in Stand-alone mode...

Postby SoloBassSteve » Tue Mar 29, 2011 4:36 pm

Hello - new here, just got my SoftStep through this week... have had a fun evening playing with it.

I echo a lot of the problems others have had with the amount of memory taken up by the app... Would love to switch to standalone, but at the moment, it seems that you can use the external expression pedal in standalone... or can you? If you can, please move this thread to the correct forum, and let me know how to. If you can't, please consider it an addition to the wishlist. :)

FWIW, I'm using the Softstep to control my Looperlative LP1 - www.looperlative.com - looks like it's going to be all kinds of fun, when I work out the right settings for CC control via pressure/X-Y for Feedback/pitch shift, and any other craziness that comes to mind...

cheers!

Hello Steve-

The external pedal source DOES WORK in Standalone mode.

It's simple to implement, just select "pedal" from the sources dropdown menu and you're good to go.
Pedal calibration is in the same place in the "settings" window.

hope this helps-

yup, did it - it works a little differently to hosted, with having to download it to the pedal first, before it even recognises the pedal being there for calibration... but once I did, it worked.

Good news :)

Steve
