Linux support

Postby plutek » Thu Mar 31, 2011 8:42 am

greetings!

wondering if there is any discussion of Linux support for the SoftStep.

not sure whether the controller software will run properly under Wine, the Linux Windows emulator.

alternately, can anyone tell me if the SoftStep is a class-compliant USB device, in which case i should be able to program it under Windows and then use it via USB under Linux. alternately, i would be restricted to use only with the MIDI expander.

any comments?...

cheers!

Hi,

SoftStep is class compliant so plug it into anything and it will work. This is why we have Standalone mode. (Editors only in Mac / PC).
