initial values in standalone?

Postby SoloBassSteve » Sun Apr 03, 2011 12:11 pm

I'm sure I'm echoing what others have asked for, but thought I'd put this here in case anyone has a work-around...

I'm wanting to use the X-incremental control for feedback and volume on the Looperlative, via CC, and in hosted mode, it seems to be fine thanks to being able to set an initial value of 127, so it always starts with volume and feedback 'on'.

In standalone mode, they both start 'off', and without the option to set the initial value, I'm wondering if there's a work around with setting some kind of one-off command as a modline on the same pedal (a CC value of 127, via some mechanism that won't change after that? Is that possible?)

An idea I've just had (shooting in the dark) would it work to set those maximum values in the nav control, for the whole scene, or would the x-incremental command just override it when pressed?

thanks!

What you could do is set the modlines to have a gain of -1 and the offset to 127. This will invert the output so that when you use the X-Increment source the output will start at 127 and then as you put weight on the right side of the key pad, the output will decrease down to 0. If you don't mind having to think a little backwards sometimes this is probably the best workaround.
