just updated to 1.2 and the new ableton live preset is really cool. the less midi mapping for me the better. I like the idea of being able to use the transport controls without mapping. so thanks to KMI for that.

I would like to see a few more of these type of presets. Especially being able to control, scene selection, track selecton, device selection, and stoping and recording clip slots in session view. some of these requests are already easily possible with midi mapping, but it would be nice to have these type of controls available on any live set without mapping.
1.2 is a great improvement, and i can't wait to see what you all come up with in the future.

Hi Pmgo,
I've been working on the Ableton Live implementation and wanted to let you know that the scene included in 1.2 is the first of many which will be scripted to automap SoftStep to Live. We'll be releasing more dynamic Ableton control as we have the time...

cool, i cant wait.

is there anyway to control the ableton script in hosted mode? I can get it to work in hosted, but the global controls control every scene. i guess it has to do with me selecting sscom instead of softstep share. It would be way cool if the script worked with softstep share mode, instead of having to change my midi settings.

The controller script was designed for Standalone mode & so currently works best when running in Standalone mode. I will look in to scripting for hosted mode and we will keep you posed...
