Mapping Midi with QuNeo and Beatmaker 2

Postby dealon » Sat May 11, 2013 4:59 pm

Hi,
Was wondering if it's possible to map (and if so, how) the general transport playback and stop button of the Beatmaker 2 to the play and stop (upper left corner) buttons of the QuNeo?
Also, can I map the sliders of the delay and/or other effects to the rotary pads so that i could use their x and y position?
Thanks!

Beatmaker's MIDI implementation is rather limited. The transport controls aren't controllable with MIDI. All of the effects, drum machines, and keyboards are but the notes and CCs are fixed, so you'll likely have to edit one of the QuNeo presets to match what you want to be controlling.

The Beatmaker 2 manual can be downloaded here: http://www.intua.net/support/
There's a section titled "MIDI" that goes through the setup of everything and has charts of what CCs are needed to control things.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. I thought there's isn't a way to control the transports but just wanted to check. Thanks and greetings - I like the QuNeo a bunch!

Experiencing some weird behavior when playing the pads.

Hitting one pad will light up another or several.

Is there a way to fix this???

That behavior sounds like one of two things. You may be using a wrong preset or else you need to go into the Beatmaker preferences and send MIDI out to off. This will stop Beatmaker from controlling the QuNeo's LEDs.

Let me know how it goes.

Have you tried a hard reset?
