Quneo on ipad Mode crashs

Postby obiwahnkentobi » Mon Sep 16, 2013 12:45 pm

Hi,

if i am in iPad Mode, and press more then letme say 11-12 Full Lightn Pads in series to ligh it on, the Quneo make a reboot....
green flashbar from left to right....
If you press more then the 12 FulllightnPads at the same, the Quneo freeze. In the "crossfader" there are 2orange LED in the Center, thats it.

You can just plug off & on, after short booting the Quneo is ready to rumble......until you repeat the upper experince... :o

Used with the latest update on an ipad2.

am i alonE in the dark?

Maybe Support can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the update is fully compatible with iPad 3, less so with iPad 2, I think it says this somewhere in the manual. But yeah, unfortunately on the older iPads, latch mode can start to overtax the battery and cause it to disconnect the QuNeo.

Yeah, even in iPad mode there is still a limit to the number of LEDs that can be lit up simultaneously — it's just much greater than when not in iPad mode (where you can press maybe two pads at the same time.

What's really a bummer is that the iPad is capable of putting out more power, but Apple placed a rather low limit on it — likely so people don't think their iPads have terrible battery life (even though it's the fault of whatever is sucking the power over the USB port — but guaranteed some people wouldn't understand this).

The solution to this is to plug a powered USB hub to your iPad/iPhone and QuNeo to this hub.
