I could say tips and tricks or what have you, but I really just want you to watch my video so you can say hey you look like Val kilmer or something. I love the Qunexus and strapped to a banjo it's even better!

That video is not shameless! Its a very very cool video of a great KMI heavy setup mixing modern synthesized sounds with vocal processing and surely made me think much higher about banjos than I usually do! Great work! Should go straight to the KMI facebook page for its coolness factor! As should your studio photo.

Sweet thanks for feedback. I was having the feeling the banjo players and the electronica folks would be scratching their heads. But whatevs! I just learn the velocity input trick on guitar rig for the vocals. Lots of fun!

I'd like to see a forum thread with performances to see how people are using the gear being it is so malleable.
Searching on youtube is hit or miss.

Good point! With the core of your setup being Ableton Live and some plugins what one can do with such a setup is what Live and its plugins are able to do via the MIDI messages that SoftStep 1/2 and QuNexus can send. Similar thing with the LED feedback behavior though that may require some DAW side scripting. Back seat driver comment, I know!

What I would love to provoke you to think in terms of is what you want to do in your performance and how you want to express that on the controllers. Its really a programming task much like what computer programmers normally do when they write software.

That said it would be a very good idea if KMI users shared ideas of they use their controllers and how to archive that via controller editor and tool configuration.
