Feature request - iPad librarian.

It would be neat to have the QN editor on my iPad. I'd pay for that.
I'd also pay to have an ipad/iphone app the was just a simple patch library uploader/downloader, so I could switch QN layouts often, and have bunches more layouts available.

Just thought I'd mention that. :)

No upvotes on this one?
Sigh.

I think it would be pretty cool. I just don't know what sort of time we have to dedicate to making one at the moment.

Yes, I understand. I figured you would have to do it, would it be possible for a third party to write a patch downloader, or would that information not be available?

We would need to release information on the JSON files and the SysEx protocol we use to transmit the presets and such before someone could make one. I'm not sure how likely it is that we'll do that.

That's pretty much what I expected, no problem.
I just wanted to repeat: I would pay for such an app. Maybe you could take a poll, and if results are positive hire an app developer for a one-off under NDA. A simple uploader/downloader shouldn't require too many coder hours.

I just got my QuNexus, last week.

I was away from my desktop mac for the whole week and was using only my iPad. I would have loved an iPad based librarian.

So a vote from me too.

I would be happy to pay a small fee: presumably one could buy the app via the AppStore.

I noticed in the QuNeo group there was considerable work done on the Linux side, and I believe you opened up the JSON stuff for them. Any chance any of that is transferrable to the QuNexus?

I feel that's the way we're trying to steer things, so it is indeed quite possible that the QuNexus source will be released at some point.

Oh yeah, that would definitely be possible, and a good idea. Support, somebody should ask Nick about this, I bet he'd be happy to clean up the code and make it available. I'm beginning to push for some iOS app development happening here at KMI, it' s not on the near horizon yet, but I think if we can get one going, more will become easy. Thanks for the suggestion! (sorry for the slow response, I spend most of my forum time in the Quneo area and am only just checking out what's happening here)
