Re: Expander 2.0

I wouldn't hold your breath on that happening.

Also all of your suggestions are manageable from your DAW.
But I guess you're talking about a live setup?
If not you can still use your DAW live these days.

To me software will always be more flexible than hardware.

Good luck,
Dirk

Re: 12 Step Editor Factory Presets

Just download the latest version of the editor, they'll all be in there.
I recently purchased a 12 step, and downloaded this, and all presets are there.

Re: "Performance view" software mode

Have you tried Midi-Ox? It's an old software package that monitors all midi traffic and you can set it up to monitor or filter specific interfaces. I use it all the time to verify what I'm changing is doing what I expect it to do. Sad to say I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for KMI, notice the ye...

Re: EXPRESSION PEDALS

Make sure you turn the level knob on the side all the way up, same goes for the Roland EV-5.
Both pedals need to have the full range available.
Good luck,

Re: Need help with customization of Program Change preset

Why not just create or copy what you have into however many banks you need, then use left right nav to go to each of your 4 preset banks setup? So not up and down nav, left and right nav. You can remove the modlines that you're not using, for instance if you are using SSCOM, then you don't also need...

Re: Need help with customization of Program Change preset

Sure you can do that, you could then have the other 6 buttons to do other things with. :)
Just use the nav to go up and down your banks of 4.

Re: Software bug with Nav Pad?

I use Mobius all the time in stand alone mode with a pedal for track volume. Win7 64 bit.
However maybe your issue is with Ableton? I'm a Reaper user here.

Stand alone is the way to go, I tried for years to deal with hosted.

Re: EXPRESSION PEDALS

Actually I have used the Moog pedal with success, but I went back to using an old Roland EV5 for size and feel. I still occasionally have curious behavior that I attribute to the software not the pedal. Make sure you do your calibration in standalone, and remember to send it to your SoftStep. Good l...

Re: Changing Setlist Select direction on Nav Pad

Well I hate to rain on your parade, but personally I prefer to keep things the way they are for setlist selection.
But I certainly couldn't complain if it was a clickable option.
I find using the side of my foot works great to select right and left.

Re: Humming noise

Yep I will say the same thing as Steve, not a noise problem with SS2, actually not a problem on SS1 with the background illumination off. :)
It's the LED's that make the difference.
Cheers,
Dirk
