Re: Roland EV-5 expression pedal Problem!

You mean the stereo jack to mini stereo jack adapter?
I tried 4 different ones, and they all produce the same result..

Re: Roland EV-5 expression pedal Problem!

Hello, I'm back after 2 years, for 2 years I've been running a solution with Max4Live "Mapulator", but since a few days it seems that the problem is getting stranger so a solution would be great. My Roland EV-5 is still starting counting from 0 when I'm about halfway up the pedal. I was wo...

Re: Roland EV-5 expression pedal Problem!

Somehow it's working now (don't know why, didn't change anything).
However, the pedal is working VERY exponential.
I would like it to be just completely linear.
But no matter which option I select (linear, exponential, logarithmic) in the Editor, it stays very exponential.
Any ideas?
thanks

Re: Roland EV-5 expression pedal Problem!

Hi guys, I'm back with the same problem. I bought a Moog Ep-3 expression pedal. Now the softstep only starts reacting when I press the pedal 90% down. In other words I have only a range between 90% and 100%. It's unworkable and I have to play a gig in 1 hour :) I have the latest firmware and softwar...

Re: Roland EV-5 expression pedal Problem!

I still notice the fluctuations, in the middle range (anywhere between range 10-90 or something.) I'm not sure if it's because of the inherent noise in the electronics of the pedal, because I don't have the problem in Hosted mode. The gain-increase solution worked to get the range to 127, and the fl...

Re: Roland EV-5 expression pedal Problem!

Yeah! That solves everything :) Thanks a lot whoeveryouare@KMI, that made my day! :) While we are talking, there is one question left, that I've had since I bought the SS1 for the first time (when my pedal actually worked normally): When I press my pedal slowly from heel to toe, the SS (and ableton)...

Re: Roland EV-5 expression pedal Problem!

Ok. I used the Editor version 2.0. To my surprise I was indeed using an older version. I didn't realize there was a new version, I'm sorry. I just installed 2.1, updated the firmware with that editor, loaded the same presets, and there is a big improvement now. The range now goes until 120 ! That's ...

Re: Roland EV-5 expression pedal Problem!

Thanks for the quick replies now.

I tried the gain at 2 and different numbers, but it just went faster, it didn't change the range, it still stops around 60%...

Re: Roland EV-5 expression pedal Problem!

Yes, you got it right. I'm sorry for writing it in a confusing way. And in the quote I confused the words myself unfortunately: This: EDIT!!: Wait, sorry, in Standalone, my output was set to SSCOM port 1. And we knew that it worked then. Unfortunately not with hosted-softstep share, or standalone......
