Re: SoftStep with Logic Pro X

The SoftStep has multiple MIDI ports that change depending on whether you are in Hosted Mode or Standalone mode. Hosted mode is only available if you have the SoftStep Advanced Editor open and it gives more functionality but can also make things more confusing because you then need to configure your...

Re: Expression Pedal Vibrates

Can you list the settings in your pedal modline? Also make sure there is only one pedal modline in your whole preset.

I've seen that problem pop up with non-default pedal settings such as having a smoothing value greater than zero.

Re: Rogue 2.0

I've heard no word of a Rogue update.

Regarding the price I don't know what made the Rogue's cost but I know that the battery holds an incredible charge. My guess is that the fancy battery increased production costs.

Re: Midi program change

Hi affro, The 12 Step is able to access 16,384 presets with a MSB hardcoded at zero and an adjustable LSB. I don't know why Roland decided to put so many important presets within the non-default MSB value of 87 when they could have easily fit all the presets on the device within a single MSB value. ...

Re: Pressure latch?

I think the offset is lowering your resolution. The latch is made to hang where the internal firmware code "thinks" you ware wanting to release. To me it seems like it's not doing the best job and so it's hard to get to zero. The best you can do is go really slow and gradual when lifting u...

Re: SoftStep with Logic Pro X

Hi Balazs, Make sure that you have Logic listen to the SoftStep's "SoftStep Share" port when running in Hosted and turn off the listening of SSCOM. Your MIDI devices won't show up in your Logic MIDI prefs but it will show up on your MIDI tracks. Are you able to connect to the SoftStep edit...

Re: Using the 12 Step to trigger the iPad 2

Make sure to power your 12 Step via external power and make sure it boots up before connecting it to your iOS device.

Re: CV input questions and feature request.

I don't know the conversion resolution but I do know that it is currently impossible to convert CV input into MIDI notes without 3rd party software such as Max.

Re: Change CC value per note on

For me it works every time. You might be thinking of a toggle as something that has to be pressed twice to get to work but actually what is happening is that each time you press that key it will alternate between sending out the number in the "Toggle CC Value" and Toggle CC Return" fi...

Re: Change CC value per note on

Yes, I believe you can. Go to the controller tab of the editor and turn off keyboard layer and turn on controller layer. Now for each key, 1. Turn on toggle 2. Set the toggle CC number 3. Set the the value in the CC value field and put the same value in the return field Octave switching will no long...
