Re: 12Step Software "no presets found"

1.0 doesn't work on Mavericks.

But 2.0 does: http://www.keithmcmillen.com/12step/downloads

Re: 12 Step and iPad Mini

It's also possible you may need to power the 12 Step externally (plug the Expander port into a USB power supply), or use a powered USB hub going into the iPad. The 12 Step may potentially be drawing just enough power to light up, but not enough to actually function properly. Every now and then Apple...

Re: Editor-configuring of sending sysex with midi expander

You can always use Bome's MIDI Translator to convert any MIDI into any other kind of MIDI (including SysEx). A computer will have to be involved though — not sure if you want that or not. Re: Selecting Presets with Keys

Not possible right now. If all 10 of the keys were being used to select presets, what would the point of the presets be? None of the keys would be able to do anything since they're being used to change presets. And how would presets 11 through 16 be handled? I could see perhaps using two keys (non-N...

Re: dead note and/or freeze

Hmm. It's very unlikely that updating presets would cause a persistent stuck key, so I wouldn't worry about that. A potential solution would be to try working the silicone a bit — push it in towards the center of the key. It's possible (probably unlikely, but possible) that the key is getting snagge...

Re: 12 step w Ableton control send faders, feedback amounts

All you need to do is set one of the CC modlines' Source to "Tilt". Then when you tilt a key forward the value rises and when you tilt a key back (toward you) the value lowers. You should also know that with 12 Step all of these settings are "global" — they affect all keys. Aside...
