Re: Firmware upgrade with Linux?

So, I downloaded the Linux version of the editor from the offical link and it tells me that It expects firmware v1.2.24 but found v1.2.30. Can I still use it or will my Quneo blow up if I start editing?

Re: SoftStep 1 is not recognized by my iPad mini 2

Okay, powering the SoftStep externally through the Expand port makes it work (after updating the firmware). Powering the SoftStep through my Logitech powered hub does not. That's really strange, because in theory it should provide more than enough juice to power not only the SoftStep but my Zoom H2 ...

Re: SoftStep 1 is not recognized by my iPad mini 2

Thanks for the reply. I updated the SoftStep firmware and... well, I still get exactly the same behavior as before. It's strange because usually the ipad complains if it doesn't recognize a usb device. In this case just nothing happens. Frustrating.

SoftStep 1 is not recognized by my iPad mini 2

Hi all, I'm trying to connect my SoftStep 1 to my iPad mini 2 via the CCK. I'm using a powered hub to which I also have a USB mic connected. The SoftStep powers up when I connect it to the hub. When I connect the hub to the iPad via CCK the SoftStep seems to reboot, the activity led at the hub light...

sc_softstep: a SuperCollider library for the SoftStep

Here are some SuperCollider classes for communicating with a SoftStep pedal in tethered mode: https://github.com/X2theL/sc_softstep Features: - switch between tethered and standalone - switch backlight on and off - display text - control leds (no yellow) - classes for trigger, toggle, y-axis, x-axis...

technical questions

I'm not using the max objects, but my own SuperCollider code. Anyway, the questions are not software specific: 1. To switch between Standalone and Hosted mode, you have to send two sysex messages. How long do you have to wait between these messages and how long does the SoftStep need after that to g...

Re: SoftStep API

The sysex for Standalone is out there - someone has it in one of their patches or I can just send it to you directly if you like. . . .. Re: Jamoma Foundation lib -Where are you seeeing the error message? The only place I recall Jamoma in SS is in the 'Sensor View' program though not sure of it's u...

Re: SoftStep API

Thanks a lot for the app. I think I'm sticking with Standalone mode for now, but the info you provide is very helpful. However, I find the way cc 40 - 42 work, very confusing. I haven't really found a pattern here (only played with it for 10 minutes). That's a pity because it seems you can't get yel...

SoftStep step sequencer

I haven't yet much to share except for a short video I made featuring my SuperCollider SoftStepSeq class. I'll release the code soon, I promise.
