Re: Humming noise

Hi, The blue backlighting is a form of cool Neon called electroluminescent and is the only method possible for illuminating these large flat areas in a low profile. Neon is driven by an AC frequency around 100 Hz. The SoftStep is completely shielded and exceeds all CE and FCC guidelines for radiated...

Re: Request List So Far

We are working on many fronts. This will include an EZ Editor for simple Scene creation, improvements to our main application which will make it smaller and faster, the Standalone additions, a required 1.1 to 1.2 Scene converter and a 1.2 Scene Librarian which will be faster and smaller. And numerou...

Re: Request List So Far

Hi, We will be implementing a few new triggers in the 1.2 release of SoftStep standalone. This will include an "Init Trig" which will fire once after the scene is selected - useful for "Init" ing a value. Possibly a "Long Trig" to address the Loop bump UhOh. We re talki...

Re: LED false doesn't work with slew - standalone

How long is your slew time? Slew will slow down the value so it will take whatever slew time you set for it to reach zero. And in Toggle mode it has to come down all the way from 127.

Maybe set up a second ModLine that follows this one but with no Slew.

Re: Convert from Max to Cocoa, please!

Hi, I understand your comments and appreciate the mem hit the SoftStep Application/Editor/Display program causes. But we have a specific set of priorities and schedule that makes this now the case. 1. Cross-Platform: cocoa is not Cross-Platform. It is Mac only. 2. Ability to add features and functio...

Re: triggers in osc?

Hi, When designing the K-Data app we asked a lot of people what they needed (assuming they were writing their own application) and everyone said "Just give me the raw data". So this is what we did. Extracting triggers from a smoothly changing grip pressure is rather straightforward. You ca...

Re: Linux support

Hi,

SoftStep is class compliant so plug it into anything and it will work. This is why we have Standalone mode. (Editors only in Mac / PC).

Re: pedal use

Hi,

If you use a switch that is partially inserted, it will change the pedal value. You can select in a modline and offset so that it goes positive when closed. If you set the Table to Toggle it will go from off to on.

Re: BIGFOOT MODE

We plan to add a "per key" inc dec function. this will live in the expanded Table / Function section of the Modline. You can set, inc, or dec a counter from a key or other sources. I believe this will take care of you big of foot people. It is a bit of work so may not make it into 1.2 but ...

Re: BIGFOOT MODE

The BIG problem here is user interface. The UI is designed to treat each key as an entity. We would need a vastly different UI for any mode that would so totally cross over multiple keys and we, as of now, do not see a lot of demand for something that would take so much work. Obviously if that chang...
