K-Mix bricked?

Hey, I just recently moved my studio setup and got my K-Mix out of the box, plugged it into my fully-updated Windows 10 machine (with which it had worked fine before the move), and proceeded to get intermittent crackling in the audio. So I fired up K-Mix Editor and was told there's a firmware update...

Re: on-off

I don't have it in front of me, but no, two CCs (instead of one) are sent on footon, and one on footoff. How many modlines are you using? Have you tried the new Editor/firmware? ( Windows / Mac ) (Screenshot doesn't quite make sense because I'm clueless how to do it) Here are steps if you're on a W...

Re: on-off

Can you post a screenshot of your setup in the Editor? I don't have the editor in front of me right now, but according to the latest iteration of the manual, this should only require a single modline: Foot On Outputs a 127 when the key is pressed and a 0 when the key is released. If you're trying to...

Re: Windows Editor - SS Trade In

1. I'll have to check that out (no Windows machine in front of me at the moment), but that should be easily fixed. Definitely weird though, since the Mac and Windows versions use the same resources and code for that part — the Mac one definitely works. I should mention that this was on Windows 8.1 ...

Re: Windows Editor - SS Trade In

New firmware appears to now allow for a larger character set on both SS1 and SS2, including lowercase and special characters. Oh, that's possible. Based on pics of the new SoftStep , though, it looks like they're still using the same segmented LED found on the 1st gen, which I would think only supp...

Re: Windows Editor - SS Trade In

Despite NOT downloading the Windows beta zip file and NOT trying it out (since I was not invited to the beta), I have feedback. I'm like Nostradamus or something. ;) ⋅ (bug) In the Basic Editor, the "toggle" boxes (for backlight, toggle, X/Y latch, etc.) disappear when clicked an...

Re: Softstep 2!!!!

Pretty sure this is the guitar project he was talking about (if you hadn't seen it already): http://www.keithmcmillen.com/strongarm As to the SoftStep 2, it looks cool, but I think a software update for the original SS would make an upgrade pretty unnecessary, unless I'm missing some killer feature ...

Re: 14-bits firmware ?

I think it makes the most sense to send the raw ADC data to Max and process it from there... Hey Dan, question: does the above imply that, to use the high-resolution data, one would have to have a license of Max4Live? I'm not very familiar with Max (I don't own it) or high-res MIDI data, but I'd li...
