Re: action compared to QuNexus?

Dude, it's like I told you. KMI makes very cool stuff. He invented the ZIPI standard and the Zeta violin. Those were expensive custom instruments too. But the also has made these very cool and expressive instruments that take advantage of being made on an assembly line, allowing the cost to come dow...

Re: action compared to QuNexus?

Look, here's the deal. This guy is very sensitive to issues of musicality. His instruments are freaking amazing and are very low cost for what they do because he has them made in a pretty competent factory over there in china. Are they perfect? Of course not, the market doesn't reward perfect, or ev...

You can get private support here:

Though it sounds like this is not a problem with the device but with some other software, for which you have chosen to have a non-standard configuration. When one takes this route, one assumes certain responsibilities.

Re: Global Sensitivity dial - what is Max/min?

OK, so it's a scaling factor. The raw pressure is multiplied by this number before doing any other calculations. It's extremely helpful to just state what something is doing because then we, as the musician users of these tools, can form the correct mental model of how something is operating, rather...

Re: pitchbend from rotatries and sliders?

Would it require more than the current system of just setting the value to -2 to get PB as output? Possibly the UI could remain the same, just accept another input value like with the x/y inputs on the grid pads.

Re: Firmware upgrade with Linux?

Dan, I was looking into this, they recently updated the $99 devkit to include not just the $495 assembler that it included before, but they now throw in the full $1395 c compiler as well, not the free demo one that's limited to compiling 4k of code max. I'm not sure if it comes with the floating poi...

Re: Flakey Quneo

I used to believe it wasn't the cable too, but had intermittent problems with it getting screwed up and sometimes going into blue light mode, requiring me to reflash the firmware to get it to work again (service report: intermittent power problems with bad cables can sometimes trash the flash!) I bo...

Wowza! Missed this before, glad it bumped up. Totally inspirational, learned a lot, and cool music too.

Thanks for showing the way man. Also, very thoughtful of you to share your process in your notes on those pieces.

Re: Anyone else find the QuNeo sliders unusable?

That's too bad! QuNeo is great for exactly that sort of thing where you want to go back and forth between two parameters, playing it live as part of your expression. With horizontal sliders for example place the middle finger on the left positions, and the index finger on the right position. Both fi...
