Re: Question about QuNeo Firmware v1.2

It'll output a SysEx message that says what preset number you're switching to. Is it too late to convince the powers that be to at least provide the OPTION of the program change outputting regular midi CC messages? It can be very difficult to map a SysEx to many programs, and in particular on Linux...

Re: Firmware upgrade with Linux?

Replying to myself, in the qJsonToSyx.js, the out stream is opened in "w" mode: var out = new Stream("presetSysex.syx", 'w') This means "open in text mode, for writing". In text mode, a translation for linefeeds is done. Therefore, each 0x0a (LF) will be preceded by 0x...

Re: Firmware upgrade with Linux?

Here is a funny thing - I thought I was seeing some extra 0x0D before 0x0A myself - so I reextracted the js from the package and reran, and all seemed to go as I expected. There is nowhere in the code to insert those extra 0x0Ds, it drove me crazy for a couple of hours trying to figure it.. So it lo...

Re: Firmware upgrade with Linux?

Absolutely thanks for sharing - I had originally thought I would just reverse engineer the protocol from the windows software, but now that I can deduce the protocol from code, I DOUBT I would have pulled it off just from wire sniffing. My progress has been slow only due to lack of time. My long ter...

Re: Firmware upgrade with Linux?

Modify Preset 1 run javascript script supplied here against Quneo.json created by preset editor use Renoise SysexLibrarian to send presetSysex.syx and sysexCommands/loadPreset/loadPreset0.syx to QuNeo verify, v...

Re: Firmware upgrade with Linux?

Definitely looks like enough info here to at least create a preset editor and uploader for Linux.. Looked around a bit, I can run the js program and it generates (presumably usable) syx files. Just got my QuNeo today, so after I play with it a bit and the code, will see if there are any gaping piece...

Re: Firmware upgrade with Linux?

The Linux and OSS worlds are all about making things work, and if you can just supply us with the information, we will surely turn it into a useful tool. As my QuNeo is en route, and I am a linux-only user (as I type this on a win box, LOL!) AND a software developer, I would gladly work to make a us...
