Re: SoftStep and Strymon Timeline

Can't help you with the Strymon specifically, but it's totally doable with all the things you're looking to do in a software looper called Mobius. So it should be quite easy with hardware too.
Good luck,

Re: Init modline

You might be able to change your effects unit to understand 1-127, some allow that. It's always been a struggle with hardware since there is no real standards, some go 0-126 some go 1-127. I thought there might be a way to offset it in SoftStep but I haven't had to do that myself.
Good luck,

Re: Use with Nord C1 organ for pedals and controls?

Sounds like you want a 12 step for the pedals, and a SoftStep for switching. Perhaps the 12 step can do the switching too, I haven't tried one myself though. But unless you use the expander the Softstep is usb out only.

Re: Faulty Backlight

Interesting,
I would have not thought of that because all my uses won't transfer to stand alone mode. I guess I'll just make something specific to do that, hey it's worth a shot.
Thanks,
Dirk

Re: Faulty Backlight

Ah there in lies the rub, stand alone mode. It won't ever hold the EL off in Hosted mode, ever.
Perhaps I didn't mention that's the only mode I use the SS with.

Re: Faulty Backlight

Yeah if only those instructions worked on Win7 64 bit, they stay off as long as the SS in plugged in. I created a specific scene to do that, at least the name carries forward, the lights off do not.

Re: Faulty Backlight

Hopefully you're not planning on playing it with guitar or bass. I have to disable mine manually every time I use just because of the noise interference issues.

Re: No Software Updates in Over a Year?

Well color me excited! A C build and getting away from MAX, a great cheer goes up from my corner of the world. Thank you for giving us some hope for the future! I guess I will keep checking back here. Cheers, Dirk p.s. While we're on the subject I asked a while ago on this forum if the Quneo suffers...

Re: anyone know how to chop?

How about a free app that can do all kinds of interesting things?
http://illformed.org/plugins/glitch/
You can midi map all the controls there to whatever you like.
