Alright, I've never accessed the tracks contained in the redbox via the api before, but if it's in the control script I could probably get at it. I'll have a look around and see what I can come up with.

Yeah I agree the drawing is a little clunky, but anything with a higher resolution, or smoothness would give an inaccurate representation of the values that are being sent. There is a way to adjust the poly after touch so that it only engages once you reach a certain point. If you open the editor and select 'Tables' from the hardware drop down menu it will bring up the table editor, where you can define 2 custom tables to be used. What exactly are you looking to do? Make the 4 vertical sliders into VU meters? For which tracks? Do you want it to follow the box (problematic because the box is seven wide)?

Getting some VU meters going using a midi M4L device with some live.observers watching the volume of tracks. I did a similar patch for the launchpad awhile back. It's pretty straightforward, but if you wanted it to follow the redbox, that would take a bit of time. But the first 8 would be quick work.
