Re: VU Meter LiveAPI

I did manage to put together a device the turns the vertical sliders into VU meters for the first four tracks. No love following the redbox due to a few things. I can't access the position via the Live API. The script uses some a variety of functions and properties that can't be observed from M4L. T...

Re: confused by Polyphonic Aftertouch

That would of course look better, but wouldn't enhance the functionality in any way, so it seems like a superfluous addition.

Re: VU Meter LiveAPI

Alright, I've never accessed the tracks contained in the redbox via the api before, but if it's in the control script I could probably get at it. I'll have a look around and see what I can come up with.

Re: confused by Polyphonic Aftertouch

Yeah I agree the drawing is a little clunky, but anything with a higher resolution, or smoothness would give an inaccurate representation of the values that are being sent. Every message sent by QuNexus (other than CV) is standard midi which results in only 128 possible values. Any higher resolution...

Re: confused by Polyphonic Aftertouch

There is a way to adjust the poly after touch so that it only engages once you reach a certain point. If you open the editor and select 'Tables' from the hardware drop down menu it will bring up the table editor, where you can define 2 custom tables to be used. Then you can map pressure to poly afte...

Re: VU Meter LiveAPI

What exactly are you looking to do? Make the 4 vertical sliders into VU meters? For which tracks? Do you want it to follow the box (problematic because the box is seven wide)?

Re: VU Meter LiveAPI

Getting some VU meters going using a midi M4L device with some live.observers watching the volume of tracks. I did a similar patch for the launchpad awhile back. It's pretty straightforward, but if you wanted it to follow the redbox, that would take a bit of time. But the first 8 would be quick work.
