Send midi note and pressure velocity at the same time?

Postby travbus » Thu Mar 24, 2016 9:18 pm

I"m trying to setup some of my pads as drum pads. Software like addictive drums 2 take the note and velocity to give a pretty realistic drum sound. I can't figure out how to send velocity and midi note info. Anybody know. My korg sends both right out of the box. Soft step sends 0 or 127?

Google has came up with nothing what do you guys think? Right now shes looking like a return...

The SS doesn't do velocity. When you send notes from the SS you define the velocity value in the Editor. The SS is meant more for triggers, effect control, program change, etc. Basically, it's really good at doing anything other than velocity sensitive MIDI notes.
If you are looking for a foot controller with velocity, the 12 Step can do that. But its much less flexible with all other types of MIDI data.
