table?

Postby pmgo » Sun Oct 14, 2012 9:19 am

so i've finally got comfortable enough with this thing to go a little deeper and finally check out what the table settings do.

I'm hip to toggle and toggle 127.. i just dont really know the difference between LIN, COS, SIN,experimental, and logarithmic.

what are the differnces or advantages to each of these table settings.

thanks for any insight.

They are basically types of waves, so linear is even from bottom to top over time. Think of a 45 degree angle.
Cosine, Sine and Logarithmic I would suggest a Google search, it covers the topics well, experimental I have no clue and have never tried it.
They are just basic curves of controllers, and some can be very handy in SS land.
Happy exploring!

Old post, I know, but being a newbie, I am trying to read them all :)

Just for anyone else wondering: It is not "experimental" but "exponential". Exponential works about the opposite of Logarithmic - while logarithmic rises fast and then levels of slowly, exponential is slow to rise at the low end but then speeds up.
