There was an error in the LED description:
Turning green on and then red does not give yellow.
You rather switch between green and red.

The text got fixed, new version is online (1.1)

Wow... I may have to trade in my 12 step for a Softstep... This is exactly what I'm looking for. But, is it possible to send these control changes without MAX MSP actively running? I'm building an Arduino-based GTR pedal board control system and would love to use Softstep (or 12 step if they make these features available) as a main controller (and not have to drag along a laptop).

I'm assuming I couldn't simply sniff out the MIDI messages with 12 Step as only preset programming is done with the 12 step editor. I'd probably never see an LED change, etc cntrl message.

Thx

Yes. You can send from any source.

I don't know the 12 Step. Just try it, take a good MIDI monitor program and see what it says.

As I'm beginning to dig in the led management, could you confirm that the Midi Chart version 1.1 by Peter Ostry is still up-to-date with the softstep 2 or is there any update available ??

Many Thanks

Haven't looked at the chart, but we did not change the midi implementation for external LED control.

hi - just checking this - the chart says that the softstep can receive cc's on any midi channel but according to the manual you have to use SSCOM1. i've been trying to send cc's to the softstep recently but haven't had any success yet. is there any further advice or am i not understanding something?

thanks
