12 step sysex midi implementation document?

Hi, just wondering if there's a sysex midi implementation document available? I'm using TB midi stuff on ios7 to send sysex to a Roland GR55, which works bidirectionally to update the controller values on the ipad. Since I'm triggering these messages with the 12 step in toggle mode it would be good to update the 12 step values so when I change programs on the GR55 I will see what is turned on/off on the 12 step. I guess the only way to do this at the moment would be to create a separate 12 step preset for each GR55 patch ...

Does the 12 step respond to sysex request messages?

Nope. The 12 Step only responds to program changes for changing its presets and I believe CCs 20-32 for controlling the LEDs on each key. I could be wrong about the exact CC numbers, I'm just going off the top of my head at the moment but I'm pretty sure it mimics the SoftStep CCs.

The only thing sysex is used for with 12 Step is sending firmware to it.

Great thanks, I can confirm that yes the LED's respond to CC's 20-32 on any channel (0 = off, 1 = on). Solved my issue, might be good to include this info in the manual. Cheers..
