No connection with the new 12step editor V2

Postby jordicasadesus » Wed Feb 11, 2015 2:46 am

Hello,

I've been using the 12Step for a couple of years now, I use it live controlling a Moog Sub Phatty for bass legato notes while playing guitar. I've been editing the presets with Version 1 of the editor, but recently I downloaded the V2 of the editor from the web and can't get connected to the 12Step, so I still have to connect through the V1 editor.

Do I need to update firmware? How can I do that? Will my presets get erased if I update firmware?

Thanks!

Jordi

What OS?
If mac, are you by chance using it in a language other than English?

Try this:

1. Navigate to the MIDI window of your Audio MIDI Setup, which can be found in System Preferences.
2. Delete the 12 Step icon from the MIDI settings while in your preferred language with your device unplugged.
3. In System Preferences where you select your language, select English and delete your preferred language.
4. Boot into English and connect your device. Make sure the 12 Step device icon appears in the MIDI settings window.
5. Now you should be able to open the editor and verify the connection.
6. Boot back into your preferred language, and you should be good to go.

You'll only have to do this once, and it should work like a charm.
