Hosts/DAWs that can receive Quneo's full midi output?

Postby Schmidi » Sun Apr 20, 2014 7:24 am

I currently use Ableton Live 9, but have learned of the single channel aftertouch that it's limited to receiving.

Is there a workaround to better record Quneo's midi output?

Are there hosts/DAWs that can better receive poly aftertouch/location/direction from Quneo?

Thanks,

The pressure values actually send MIDI continuous controller (CC) messages, not MIDI aftertouch messages. You can specify the controller number for each pad's pressure, x and y to be whatever you want in the QuNeo editor. The x and y can also be pitch bend in addition to the CC options.

You might want to look at the "QuNeo Software" chapter in the Quneo Full Manual, it discusses how to set up presets.

Yeah, QuNeo does not send actual "aftertouch", channel or polyphonic.

Pressure just comes out as CCs, which Ableton has no problem dealing with.
