"hold" and "drop" mode for fader location

Postby fingerdrummer » Sat Dec 01, 2012 1:20 am

so in "drop" if you lift off the finger it returns to zero (or a default) (e.g.: resonance turns off)

could be done with pressure control, but using position for fx parameters is more accurate

+1000 for return values for faders, even the long one. This would be an excellent (and highly usable) new feature!

This kind of drives me nuts when using the QuNeo with the X/Y pads in Alchemy, I let go and BOOM back to zero - ouch! Having a HOLD mode would be *fantastic* for my purposes!

The pressure and note value will return to zero (or in accordance to the behavior you define with the normal/toggle, and the cc output menus), but location should latch. Be sure you are sending/mapping the correct cc's to your software.

You know the pads can latch, right? Just enter -1 into the X/Y return value box. This thread is talking about the sliders, which can't latch.
