Tons of tricks

Postby infinitesinewave » Sat Jan 26, 2013 12:11 am

Here's a video with a few tricks for my new Quneo wrapped into one. Let me know what you think.

It's great! Real nice piece and light sequencing.

Very cool use of the lights but I wish, like I'm sure do many others, that you would have given some insight into how you do this and maybe publish some code. Then it would go from being a "trick" to a useful "tip".

Sorry about that... I should have posted some insight. Everyone is asking me about the LEDs so I'll start there. Let me know what else you are interested in learning.

In order to make your Quneo light up... go to this website...

The relevant part is at about 3:10. (Thanks to Shani at Tech Support for giving me this link)

It's for the Novation but it's how you also do it on the Quneo.

Then the rest is up to your creativity. It's very time consuming. You are drawing things by putting in notes into clips of a MIDI track. Essentially, you are drawing and animating by making a MIDI clip play all the notes that will create that drawing and animation on your Quneo(in time). I hope this helps... let me know if you have any other questions and let me see what you guys come up with.

Please help me with my current problem. It's under General Discussions "Midi problems with Ableton Live."

Hey guys... new vid using 2 Quneos. I'm mostly using it as an instrument/light trigger this time around. Let me know what you think.

Hey Infinite, I have a question bro. How do you get the faders to output like VU meters? Maybe it should be it's own topic so people can find it? I'd like to do this in Logic Pro as well and Ableton and Traktor Pro but have no idea how. I know there's a plugin in the Waves bundle that outputs a MIDI message using an audio source input so maybe I can use that in Logic Pro.
