mometary effects

Postby Jee-Bee » Wed Feb 06, 2013 1:30 am

i wanna try to use momentary FX in my sets. but that doesn't work in the way i want it.
I saw this articlehttp://www.macprovideo.com/hub/ableton- ... leton-live and hoped that i cloud answer my problem... not
I use drummode. The note for FX on and x/y/pressure for edit fx and when release effect goes of.
I use ableton and i don't know where i have to set this parameter, is this quneo or Live and where in live.

Live uses Notes for toggle and CC for momentary.

I've done what it sounds like you're wanting to do by changing the minimum value to 1. This is for on-off switches though. Any rotary or fader controls in Live will still get the entire range, I've yet to figure how to limit that.

Yeah, I would map the pressure CC to the on/off switch in Live, then set the "min" value in the Mappings window to 1. This way anytime you're applying pressure to the pad the effect will turn off and when you release it will turn off.

You could also manipulate (or limit in this case) the throw of rotaries and faders using mapulator. That way it's not limited to just switches.

Mind that you need Max4Live

I don't have M4L (yet) so that's no option
