individual velocity calibration

Any way to fix the hugely inconsistent velocity sensitivities on this thing? Firmware or sundering? I'm really hoping to not have to return it, but it's looking like it. I'm getting a bit frustrated with KMI after having to replace a sofstep in less than a year and now a brand new qunexus apparently very poorly calibrated.

Have you tried using the per key sensitivity to adjust the keys?

I am experiencing variances in the key velocity. I've tried individual key sensitivity settings with no luck.
