QuNexus CV pulse question

Postby Pongoid » Tue Sep 15, 2015 2:04 am

Can the 3 CV outs on the QuNexus send CV pulses for triggering things like switches and percussion style (one-shot) envelopes in modular gear? I'm trying to trigger drum modules. Is that just going to be a function of a plugin (like Expert Sleepers, etc.), or maybe just a single cycle of a sawtooth wave, or how would I accomplish such a thing? Obviously it's not a sustained current, like a gate function. Is the resolution high enough on the CVs to throw 96ppq pulses? Any suggestions are appreciated.

It's technically possible if you send CCs to Port 3 that just jump from 0 to 127 and back, but it will be slow and the pulses won’t have sharp edges on the high/low transitions. but the voltage will get high enough to trigger modules
i’m not entirely sure if it’ll be fast enough for 96ppq pulses, we haven't ever tried sending CCs through the CV outs at that rate.
